It seems silly to be discussing October 14, 2025, and it’s just barely January. However, it is time to start preparing for the transition to Windows 11.
The first thing to consider is backing up your important documents, pictures, etc. Most of the time, the upgrade does not affect these, but it’s not worth the risk.
2nd thing, and if you’re seeing a screen similar to this picture then it is likely not an issue for you, but does your computer meet the requirements to install Windows 11? You can run a program, that is likely already on your computer, called “PC Health Check”. This will tell you if your computer is ready to upgrade, if your hardware needs upgrade(s), or is incompatible. If it is not compatible then it is time to consider replacing your computer.
At this point, Microsoft has worked out most of the bugs that people reported when Windows 11 was initially released and has it working quite well.
Should you have questions, or need help with any of the above please give us a call any time and Mobile Computer Repair would be glad to help!
